Goldspring require the services of an experienced HSEQ Coordinator.
In this position you will play an important role and make a significant contribution to contribute to the HSEQ department to achieve net zero safety.
This position is responsible for the coordination of HSEQ frameworks for the Goldspring Group and associated entities:
A HSEQ Coordinator is integral to any organisation, responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring policies that ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace.
Ensuring the required outcomes are achieved and maintained by overseeing the continuous implementation and operation of the Safety Management System to all parts of the organisation.
Overall Objective of the Position:
What You'll Do:
Maintain and continuously improve our integrated management system for ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certification.
Promote a positive safety culture across all projects and sites within client services.
Manage workplace incidents, injuries, and near-misses to minimise risk and prevent harm.
The HSEQ Coordinator provides advice, training, consultation, monitoring, and governance, to support stakeholders and ensure all relevant HSEQ legislation, policies and procedures are implemented and effective.
Implement, maintain, and monitor minor to major areas of Business Improvement in conjunction with the Managing Director, Manager Operational Services, Plant and Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be an evolved leader with a passion for developing and encouraging your team along with a demonstrated ability to work with people from various levels.
Lead daily pre-start meetings relevant to service activities and toolbox meetings including safety alerts, service bulletins and safety in general.
To be successful in this challenging, busy position you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills or attributes:
Essential Criteria:
Minimum 3 years' experience in the same or similar role.
Diploma of WHS and/or equivalent, Certificate IV in WHS qualification is acceptable.
Industry experience in a HSEQ Coordination position
The 3 years HSEQ experience must include heavy industry experience.
Proven leadership ability, results driven, solutions focused and highly organised.
Demonstrated high level of problem solving and communication skills.
Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety including Chain of Responsibilities.
Enhance safety awareness and a proactive safety and duty of care awareness level within your area of responsibility.
Competent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, service programs.
Drivers Licence.
Proactive approach to the position.
Strong team player.
Excellent Oral and Written Communication.
Good customer service and communication skills.
Ability to handle 10 – 12 hours days when required.
Ability to work away from home to support specific projects when required.
Preferred Criteria:
WHS Construction Induction Card.
Sound knowledge of Civil, Rail & Mining Industries.
Reside or able to reside local to the Maitland area.
Management qualifications including supervisory will be an advantage.
First Aid Qualification.
