We are looking for a motivated and career-focused HSE & Training Officer to support our safety, compliance, and training initiatives across the organisation.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).

You may already have exposure to HSE, compliance, training coordination, warehousing, manufacturing, administration, or operations — or you may be currently studying and looking for an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience.

This is a varied and practical role where you will support the day-to-day management of HSE systems, training coordination, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining HSE documentation, registers, and compliance records

• Coordinating employee training requirements, inductions, and training records

• Assisting with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions

• Supporting the development and review of risk assessments, SWMS, and safety procedures

• Participating in workplace inspections, audits, and compliance activities

• Working with operational teams to promote safe work practices and positive safety culture

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across safety, training, environmental and compliance systems

• Assisting with contractor management and site compliance requirements

• Providing general administrative support to HSE and operational functions

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Confident communicating with a range of people and teams

• Interested in health, safety, compliance, or training

• Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks

• Eager to learn and develop professionally

Essential Requirements

• Some exposure to HSE, training, administration, compliance, warehousing, manufacturing, or operations (formal experience not essential)

• Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

• Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

• Full Australian working rights

• Willingness to occasionally travel to support operational or site activities

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• WHS qualification (completed or currently studying)

• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or interest in obtaining)

• Experience within manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or mining environments

• Familiarity with safety management systems or compliance software

• Tech-savvy and confident learning new systems, with an interest in creating digital training content, including SCORM- based learning modules
