This role oversees front-and-back of house operations in a busy motel environment, including guest check-ins and check-outs, reservations, billing, and delivering a consistently high standard of guest service. The position works closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and suppliers to ensure rooms are prepared, guest needs are addressed, records are accurately maintained, and operations remain well-coordinated and controlled.

Task & responsibilities
- Efficiently manage guest arrivals and departures, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes while providing a welcoming experience.
- Handle all reservations via phone, email, and online booking platforms, ensuring accurate purchase orders, record keeping and timely follow-ups.
- Provide high-quality customer service, handling guest inquiries, special requests, and resolving any issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Accurately process guest payments, including cash, credit card, and online transactions, and maintain detailed billing records.
- Liaise with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals and coordinating room cleanliness and maintenance.
- Assist guests with local information, directions, restaurant recommendations, transportation arrangements, and tourism activities
- Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and efficiently, aiming to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Work effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and management teams to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional guest experiences.
- Regularly update and report operational activities, guest feedback, room occupancy, and any issues that require attention or resolution.
- Monitor overall performance, including revenue, expenses and cost controls, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Present operational reports on occupancy, guest satisfaction and business performance to senior management.
- Oversee procurement and inventory management, ensuring cost- effective purchasing and adequate supply levels.
- Manage guest services, including tourism information, transportation and external service arrangements.
Qualification & experience
- A formal qualification in Hotel/motel management of hospitality management, and 1 year relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally in fluent English, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
- Proven capability to manage both front-of-house and back-of- house motel operations.
- Excellent coordination and multitasking skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Strong team leadership and supervision skills to ensure smooth daily operations.
