Hotel Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hotel Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Quest King William South. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, team performance, financial success, and delivering a seamless guest experience aligned with Quest’s brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of reception, reservations, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.

• Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team to achieve operational and service excellence.

• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and monthly reporting.

• Drive revenue growth through effective yield management, upselling strategies, and local marketing initiatives.

• Conduct regular property inspections to maintain brand standards and ensure guest satisfaction.

• Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, risk management protocols, and liquor licensing requirements.

• Proactively handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests to enhance guest loyalty and satisfaction.

• Maintain supplier relationships, oversee procurement processes, and ensure cost-effective inventory management.

• Collaborate with corporate and local business partners to build accommodation agreements and drive occupancy.

• Implement staff training, succession planning, and performance management programs.

• Analyse guest feedback, market trends, and operational reports to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Represent the property in professional forums, networking events, and tourism/travel partnerships.

• Support Franchisee/Owner with reporting requirements, business planning, and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience

1. A qualification equivalent to an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Diploma or higher in Hospitality Management or a related field.
2. Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in hotel management or a similar role.
3. Proven ability to manage budgets, financial plans, and expenditure.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Comprehensive understanding of hotel operations and guest service excellence.​

Desirable Attributes

• Familiarity with the Adelaide corporate, events, and tourism markets.

• Experience with RMS, Opera, or similar PMS platforms.

• Strong sales, yield, and distribution management experience.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and peak demand periods.
