We are seeking to establish a pool of Home Economics Assistant for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027 Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
The Home Economic Assistant assists the teacher in the delivery of planned education programs, including the operation of computers, sewing machines and kitchen appliances, and under teacher direction, implement individual or small group programs.
Suitable applicants will ideally assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environments by maintaining equipment, materials and resources for use in classes, displays and demonstrations, and assist the teacher with clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities. They will also check all equipment and report any discrepancies to the Home Economics Teacher
