Our Townsville, Queensland operation currently delivers training support to the Australian Defence Force (ADF), and we are seeking a Trainer & Assessor to deliver Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET).
In this role, you will help deliver realistic, hands-on training that prepares trainees to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations. HUET training places participants in simulated real-world scenarios to build the practical skills and confidence needed to improve survival outcomes in the event of an incident.
We’re looking for a safety-focused professional who is passionate about training and eager to continue growing their career within ERGT. This role would suit someone who aspires to develop into a Lead Trainer position in the future and is motivated to positively influence those around them.

Essential Requirements:
Proven instructional and assessment experience
Rescue Diver qualification
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy
Ability to pass an Occupational Dive Medical
Australian residency or applicable working visa
Ability to provide a Police Clearance prior to commencement
Highly Desirable:
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Core Responsibilities:
Training & Operational Support
Support HUET training delivery and assessment
Provide ASET support during training activities
Work collaboratively to achieve training outcomes
Equipment & Maintenance:
Maintain equipment to ensure it is safe, compliant, and ready for use
Conduct basic repairs and routine maintenance
Track equipment servicing and maintain accurate records
Administration & Continuous Improvement:
Use internal systems and coordinate correspondence with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
Assist with updates to documents, procedures, and work instructions
Contribute to a safe and efficient workplace
Support other team members as required
