Our Townsville, Queensland operation currently delivers training support to the Australian Defence Force (ADF), and we are seeking a Trainer & Assessor to deliver Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET).

In this role, you will help deliver realistic, hands-on training that prepares trainees to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations. HUET training places participants in simulated real-world scenarios to build the practical skills and confidence needed to improve survival outcomes in the event of an incident.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven instructional and assessment experience

  • Rescue Diver qualification

  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

  • HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy

  • Ability to pass an Occupational Dive Medical

  • Australian residency or applicable working visa

  • Ability to provide a Police Clearance prior to commencement

Highly Desirable:

  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Training & Operational Support

  • Support HUET training delivery and assessment

  • Provide ASET support during training activities

  • Work collaboratively to achieve training outcomes

Equipment & Maintenance:

  • Maintain equipment to ensure it is safe, compliant, and ready for use

  • Conduct basic repairs and routine maintenance

  • Track equipment servicing and maintain accurate records

  • Administration & Continuous Improvement:

  • Use internal systems and coordinate correspondence with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders

  • Assist with updates to documents, procedures, and work instructions

  • Contribute to a safe and efficient workplace

  • Support other team members as required
