Health and Safety Advisor to join our civil construction project team on a 2:1 FIFO roster working across various sites in WA.
You will work closely with our Project Engineer and Project Supervisors to help implement and maintain safe work practices and a safe work site. You will have ongoing support from our head office based HSEQ and Administration team

Our projects span from small civil construction to large projects in the civil and mining sector, such as detailed roadworks, earthworks, subdivisions, tailings dams, airport construction and major highway upgrades. RDH tenders projects, in the range of $2m and $45m.
About the Role
Roster: 2:1 FIFO
Location: Various project sites across Regional WA (Roaming position)
Flights: FIFO ex Perth or Geraldton
Employment: Full-Time Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, regulatory requirements, client expectations and company procedures
- Provide WHS advice and support to Project Engineers and Supervisors
- Prepare operational-level safety documentation including CRAWS, JSEAs and Safe Work Instructions
- Conduct site inspections and actively engage with workers in the field
- Deliver WHS presentations at pre-starts and toolbox meetings
- Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports
- Liaise with clients regarding HSE matters as required
- Assist with injury management and return-to-work processes
- Conduct saliva-based drug and alcohol testing
Skills & Experience - Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar HSE/WHS role within Civil Construction or Mining environment
- Strong computer literacy and administrative capability
- Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback
- Passion for training and mentoring site personnel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to positively influence improved safety outcomes
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience in Mobile Plant Operating (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Education, Licenses & Certifications - Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum requirement)
- Certificate IV Training & Assessment (minimum requirement)
- Lead ICAM Certificate
- HR Driver’s License
- First Aid Certificate
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Cert III Civil Construction (highly regarded)
- Rehabilitation & Return to Work training (desirable)
- HLTPAT005 – Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing (desirable)
- National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
