Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.
ANI has created a new role responsible for leading the delivery of technical services for the NPSCY Program including engineering and design, technical integration, engineering assurance, and infrastructure coordination functions. The Head of Technical Delivery position will provide leadership and oversight to ensure technical integrity, integration, and compliance are embedded throughout all phases of program delivery.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing the technical delivery function for the NPSCY program
Being the contract holder for Owner Engineer services throughout the program
Establishing and maintaining technical assurance frameworks and governance
Developing and maintaining engineering and technical standards for the entire program
Leading system interfacing management through program workstreams and delivery partners
Overseeing technical coordination of site infrastructure requirements and interfaces
Driving implementation and governance of digital engineering approaches and tools
Be a champion of safe design principles for planning, designing and delivery activities
Engaging with key government stakeholders, regulators, contractors and engineering partners
Promoting continuous improvement and leading practices in technical delivery
About You:
You will have strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, sound organisational, written and verbal communication skills. This position will suit someone with good interpersonal skills, initiative and enjoys working in a fast-paced setting. You will have exceptional stakeholder engagement and coordination capability, and will have proven leadership capability managing multidisciplinary technical teams. Having strong analytical capability, technical integrity, and commitment to continuous improvement will be as asset in this position.
You will also have:
Extensive commercial experience in technical delivery, engineering management, or infrastructure integration roles
Experience operating in highly regulated or high-assurance environments, and designing nuclear regulated facilities.
Strong understanding of engineering assurance and systems integration.
Experience managing Owner’s Engineer or technical advisory contracts.
Experience implementing digital engineering practices within complex programs.
Strong knowledge of infrastructure delivery, standards, and safe design requirements.
Eligibility:
