We are seeking a full time skilled and experienced Hairdresser to join us. This is a full-time position of minimum 38 hours per week. The successful candidate will provide high-quality hairdressing services to clients while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide professional haircutting, styling, colouring, perming, and treatment services according to client requirements and current industry trends.
• Consult with clients to understand their needs, advise on suitable hairstyles, colours, and treatments, and recommend home care products.
• Shampoo hair and condition scalp.
• Perform hair colouring, foiling, highlights and corrective colouring with precision and attention to detail.
• Conduct hair treatments including scalp treatments, keratin treatments, and deep conditioning.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and safety in the salon at all times.
• Ensure all equipment and tools are cleaned, sterilised, and maintained properly.
• Provide excellent customer service and arrange bookings, collect payments, build strong client relationships to encourage repeat business.
• Perform precise hair cutting using scissors, clippers, and razors to achieve client-desired styles and lengths. 
• Create specialised hairstyles including dreadlocks, braids, and professional hair extensions. 
• Provide expert beard and moustache grooming services, including shaving, trimming, and shaping.
• Monitor stock levels of products and report when re-ordering is required
• Keep up to date with the latest hairdressing techniques, products, and trends.
• Collaborate with salon team members to ensure smooth salon operations.
• Handle client professionally and ensure high client satisfaction.

Qualification & experience

The successful candidate should possess:

• Minimum one year of experience as a Hairdresser.
• Relevant qualification in Hairdressing-Certificate iii or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility with working hours and a positive, adaptable approach to salon demands.
• Excellent attention to detail in all hairdressing services and client consultations.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy salon environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering consistent high-quality service.
