We are seeking a qualified and experienced Painter to join us full-time. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of industry experience and hold a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent minimum qualification). You will be responsible for preparing, applying, and finishing painting and decorating works, ensuring high standards are consistently met.

Task & responsibilities

• Set up scaffolding, ladders, and protective coverings (such as drop sheets) to ensure safe and clean work areas.
• Prepare surfaces by removing old paint or wallpaper, repairing woodwork, filling cracks/holes, and sealing/smoothing surfaces.
• Select and mix paints to achieve required colours and finishes, incorporating pigments, oils, and other additives.
• Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Hang wallpaper, align and match patterns, and trim edges with precision.
• Clean tools, equipment, and work areas to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Carry out minor repair work, including fixing windows and replacing glass in timber and metal frames.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1–3 years of proven painting and decorating experience.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and colour mixing.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
