Full-time Dairy Cattle Farmhand (multiple positions available)

Specific tasks and responsibilities:

• Operate milking plant and farm equipment efficiently to ensure high-quality milk production 
• Follow safety standards and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain and adjust equipment, including calibrations, to optimise performance
• Identify and promptly report any equipment malfunctions or irregularities to maintain smooth operations
• Accurately record and monitor milk vat temperatures, cow numbers, and other key farm data
• Use standard measuring and monitoring equipment to support farm operations
• Use Hamilton’s Run systems for tracking production and managing processes
• Perform multiple farm functions, ensuring machinery and processes meet the farm’s quality expectations
• Troubleshoot issues and make decisions within Hamilton’s Run operational guidelines
• Apply practical knowledge to assist with tasks such as machine repair, artificial insemination, and fertiliser mix application
• Work closely as part of the farm team to support a cooperative and productive work environment
• Support the team by providing input, assisting colleagues, and contributing to farm goals
• Work independently when required, maintaining the farm’s high standards for efficiency and quality

Experience requirements:

• At least 1-2 year of work experience; or 
• At least a relevant AQF Certificate II or III qualification or equivalent.
