Basilico Cafe Whyalla is seeking an experienced Full Time Chef to prepare quality meals, support kitchen operations and contribute to a reliable and professional food service environment.

Planning menus in consultation with management
Estimating food and labour costs and assisting with cost control
Preparing and cooking menu items to a high and consistent standard
Monitoring food preparation and ensuring quality, portion control and presentation
Supervising and coordinating kitchen staff during service
Demonstrating cooking techniques and guiding junior team members
Managing stock levels, ordering supplies and reducing wastage
Ensuring full compliance with food safety and workplace health standards
The kitchen is fast paced and service driven, so strong organisational skills and leadership capability are essential.
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Minimum 1 year relevant and demonstrated experience as a Chef
Proven ability to supervise kitchen staff during service
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and compliance requirements
