Duncan Equine Group (“DEG”) is a family owned company with strong ties to the equine industry. For over 25 years, DEG has been distributing world class horse-safe fencing to the Australian market. Over time the owners of DEG have developed additional horse safe products to complement the existing system and provide peace of mind to horse owners across Australia, New Zealand and Europe as the business has grown.
DEG is now seeking a suitably qualified, full-time Sales Consultant for immediate start at our North Geelong location.
Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Eastern States Sales Manager (“ESSM”), the responsibilities of the role will include:
Customer Service - Responding to phone, email or face to face enquiries from existing and new clients
Co-representing the company at industry trade shows from time to time; some weekend work will be required
Assisting the sales team with all facets of the sales process, including:
Mapping / Designing & Quoting materials
Obtaining freight quotes
Processing customer payments
Closing / Following up on Sales Orders
Assist warehouse with packing orders when required
Required Skills & Experience:
Excellent Customer Service skills
Strong communication skills
Proficient computer skills; i.e. - Windows Office Suite
Previous merchandising, warehousing or sales experience
Current Australian Drivers License
Desired Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of rural fencing; products and installation methods
Previous experience with CIN7 (or other sales / inventory management program)
Experience and involvement in the equine industry
