We are seeking a qualified and experienced Food Technologist to join our growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing, improving and maintaining food products and production processes while ensuring compliance with relevant food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, develop and improve food products and formulations.

• Conduct product testing, sensory evaluations and shelf-life studies.

• Monitor and maintain food quality assurance systems and food safety programs.

• Ensure compliance with relevant Australian food standards, regulations and industry requirements.

• Analyse raw materials, ingredients and finished products to ensure quality specifications are met.

• Investigate production issues and recommend process improvements.

• Prepare technical reports, product specifications and documentation.

• Liaise with production teams, suppliers and management regarding product development and quality matters.

• Assist with implementing new products from concept through to commercial production.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Food Technology, Food Science or a closely related field.

• At least one years of relevant post-qualification experience as a Food Technologist or in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, quality assurance systems and regulatory requirements.

• Experience in food product development and manufacturing processes.

• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
