Fleet Manager

You will organise and control the buying, leasing, maintenance and sale of vehicles in our fleet. This role requires management of transportation resources and staff to meet organisational schedules, cost effectiveness and regulatory compliance.

Task & responsibilities

• Organise the purchase, maintenance, repair and refuelling of transport vehicles and associated equipment.
• Maintain business records, prepare operational statements and reports.
• Liaise with clients to understand requirements; advise on vehicle type, leasing/purchase terms, hire rates; manage complaints.
• Receive orders/bookings; plan and implement transportation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Arrange collection & delivery of vehicles and goods.

Qualification & experience

• At least one year of relevant experience in fleet management or similar role.
• Strong client liaison, scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting skills.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management systems and scheduling software.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance related to transport.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills Proven leadership abilities and experience managing teams or contractors.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to work with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse operational data, manage budgets, and prepare performance reports.
