Task & responsibilities

- Operates the sheet metal rolling machine, ensuring efficient functioning and maintaining quality control

- Performs maintenance on the sheet metal rolling machine and other machines, including loading sheet metal onto the machine

- Responsible for creating, shaping and forming metal castings and panels

- Supervises factory workers and assigns tasks to ensure smooth operations

- Controls the work, pays attention to the quality of the castings and panels on the machines

- Diagnoses and troubleshoots machine or quality issues, making necessary adjustments to processes 

- Conducts routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs

- Reports machine malfunctions and coordinates necessary repairs

- Oversees the supply levels of materials to ensure uninterrupted production.

Relevant Skills:

- Self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as within a team

- Strong ability to read and interpret instructions, drawings, and specifications

- Quick to identify machine disruptions and perform simple repairs

- Punctual and organised

- Consistently maintains a high standard of workmanship.

Qualification & experience

Certificate III in Mechanical Trade (either in Machining or Fitting) or relevant overseas qualification is required and at least one year of work experience.
