Poultry Care Australia prides itself on taking the utmost care of the poultry we handle day in and day out while maintaining a safe, supportive, and positive work environment for our workers.

As a growing labour hire company within the poultry industry, we work closely with farms across Australia to help maintain the health, safety, and wellbeing of poultry.

We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking workers to join our poultry vaccination and farm support team.

In this hands-on role, you will be working on poultry farms completing a range of duties focused on poultry health and farm operations.

Duties include:

• Vaccinating chickens (chest vaccination)

• Winging birds

• Eye-dropping birds

• Catching and handling chickens safely

• Carrying pen surrounds and farm equipment

• Assisting with general labouring duties on farms

• Maintaining animal welfare and hygiene standards

• Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

This role requires regular travel throughout regional New South Wales and, at times, Queensland and Victoria depending on operational requirements and where workers are needed.

Travel to and from job sites is provided by the company via company vans, along with accommodation when required.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A strong work ethic and reliable attitude

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

• Physical capability to lift up to 20kg regularly

• Comfortable working around poultry and farm animals

• Ability to follow instructions and workplace safety procedures

• Good teamwork and communication skills

• Willingness to travel for work

• Driver's licence and reliable transport preferred

An Australian Open Driver Licence is highly desirable, particularly for workers who may be required to drive company vans and transport workers to and from job sites.

Previous poultry or farm experience is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidates.

Applicants must hold a valid work visa or appropriate Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.

• Competitive hourly rates of $30–$35 per hour (inclusive of casual loading)
