Experienced Pharmacy Technician / Pharmacist Intern

The key responsibilities of the role include: 

• Prepare, dispense, and label medicines and prescriptions accurately under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist.
• Undertake advanced compounding and extemporaneous preparation of medicines in line with standards and safety requirements.
• Manage stock control, including procurement, receipt, storage, monitoring of expiry dates, and rotation of medicines and pharmaceutical supplies.
• Oversee and coordinate workflow across the dispensary to support efficiency and patient care.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy standards and workplace policies.
• Assist in the preparation of pharmacy audit materials, maintenance of controlled substance records, and reporting for compliance purposes.
• Deliver professional and knowledgeable customer service regarding prescription and non-prescription medicines under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Contribute to quality assurance initiatives, safety audits, and continuous improvement of pharmacy operations.

• Must have a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years full-time highly relevant post-qualification experience as a Pharmacy Technician, Dispensary technician or Pharmacist.
• Proven experience in advanced dispensing, stock management, and compounding in a busy community pharmacy environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety, compliance, and customer care.
• Proficiency with MS office and excel.
