About the RoleAs an experienced Graduate of Architecture in a small firm, you will be involved in small to large-scale institutional and commercial projects assisting the Lead Architect and Project Leaders in all aspects of the project from client briefings and project definition, to design development, REVIT modelling/documentation, BCA and standards compliance, documentation for DA and Tender, right throughout construction. It is an exciting role with a wide variety of different project types. The role offers great opportunity to learn in an Architectural office and become part of an energised and engaged design team to see projects from inception to completion.
We are looking for Graduates of Architecture with a minimum of 5 years local (New South Wales) professional architectural experience. You will have our ongoing support and training to help you succeed and enjoy working with us, along with the flexibility to work from home up to two days a week.
Qualifications & ExperienceCompletion of Masters of Architecture in Australia
Min 5 years local (NSW) experience in a professional Architectural practice
Min 4 years REVIT experience (modelling and documentation for construction)
Demonstrated understanding of the BCA and Australian Standards
Demonstrated experience documenting a Commercial, Education, Institutional, or Laboratory project for Construction.
Professional capacity as a Level 2a Experienced Graduate of Architecture
Team player with a proactive and enthusiastic attitude
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Open to learn, expand experience, and apply new knowledge
Ability to strategise and manage workload to meet project deadlines and key objectives
REVIT BIM 360 proficiency essential
MS Office suite proficiency required
Excellent architectural documentation and coordination skills for CC/Construction
Ability to read and understand consultant drawings and provide feedback
Strong coordination skills to meet program milestones
Confidence to coordinate and liaise with consultant team, local authorities and other key stakeholder
AUTOCAD proficiency ideal
Adobe Suite proficiency ideal
Complete on-site measurements including Matterport lidar scanning
Develop concept drawings, REVIT modelling, and return brief documents
Attend meetings and site meetings/inspections, and record accurate meeting minutes
Coordinate with engineers and services consultants to ensure drawings are in accordance with brief
Assess applicable codes, regulations and legislation to ensure compliance of documentation
Prepare CC, Tender, and Construction Documentation using REVIT and BIM 360
Assist with project administration
Submit a tailored cover letter to MCA Architects outlining your suitability for our practice.
Demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in an architectural practice in NSW.
Demonstrate at least 5 years of experience documenting Commercial (Class2-9) projects.
Demonstrate at least 4 years of experience documenting Commercial projects in REVIT
