Tiny Twinkles Pty Ltd ATF NAV Unit Trust trading as NH44 Restaurant is a growing and vibrant hospitality venue bringing together authentic flavours, exceptional customer service, and a modern dining experience. Located in Tarneit VIC, NH44 Restaurant is seeking qualified and experienced Chef/Cook on a full-time basis who are passionate about food and capable of working in a fast-paced and high-pressure kitchen environment while maintaining industry and restaurant standards.
Your Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Prepare and execute high-quality dishes and menus in collaboration with the kitchen team
• Meet with customers to discuss menus for special occasions, functions, and events
• Assist in menu planning including seasonal specials, banquet menus, and group bookings
• Prepare and cook meals to meet special dietary requirements where required
• Lead and manage all aspects of kitchen operations during service periods
• Oversee food plating and presentation to ensure consistency and quality standards
• Monitor dishes for quality, portion control, and presentation before serving
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, and cooking equipment to ensure proper cooking standards
• Ensure food preparation, handling, and storage comply with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Inspect kitchen facilities, equipment, and work areas to ensure operational and regulatory compliance
• Requisition stock, kitchen supplies, and equipment as required
• Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising cooks and kitchen staff
• Demonstrate cooking techniques and equipment usage to junior staff members
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment at all times
• Enforce strict health, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
• Demonstrate strong teamwork, work ethic, and a positive “can do” attitude to support a productive kitchen culture
Skills and Experience – You must be fully qualified:
• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or relevant Hospitality qualification
• Minimum one year of proven experience as a Chef/Cook in a busy commercial kitchen environment
• Experience managing smooth food service operations during busy trading periods
• Strong understanding of food safety standards, stock control, and kitchen operations
• Creative cooking skills with the ability to contribute to menu development and presentation
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency
The advertised position is full-time (minimum 38 hours per week) with a salary range between $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
