The Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA) is a member-funded professional organisation supporting, representing, and educating anaesthetists to ensure the safest possible anaesthesia care for the community.

About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Assistant to the Board and CEO , with a dotted line to the Operations Manager , this role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of both executive support and member services functions.

Role requirements

• Coordinate logistics for Board and Council meetings (RSVPs, catering, travel, accommodation)
• Assist with the preparation of Board Packs and reconciling expenses, provide back-up support for the Executive Assistant when on leave
• Support annual membership renewals and assist with committee meetings and minutes
• Maintain and update the member database, provide cover for the Membership Manager during periods of leave
• Manage general office duties including calls, mail, supplies, and kitchen provisioning
• Process merchandise orders and update the intranet
• Help coordinate staff meetings and internal events

Previous skills and experience

• Proven previous experience in a similar administrative or support role
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, databases, and other digital tools
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• A proactive, adaptable team player who can also work independently
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Experience in a member-based or health-related organisation is highly regarded
• Ability to work occasional work outside regular hours (evenings/weekends) may be required for meetings and events
