Zweck is the internal Group Services division supporting Aizer Group — a growing building services business delivering insurance, strata and commercial building works across Queensland.

Our strata and commercial insurance arm, handles a consistent pipeline of building claims across body corporate, commercial and mixed-use properties. We work closely with insurers, strata managers and loss adjusters to deliver scoped, priced and coordinated repairs across Queensland.

About the Role

We're looking for an Insurance Estimator to join our team, focused on commercial and strata insurance claims.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can assess damage, build a clear scope and price it accurately — across a varied mix of strata and commercial properties. You'll work alongside project managers and the broader delivery team, with direct engagement with insurers, strata managers and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment & Scoping

· Conduct site inspections across commercial and strata properties

· Assess building damage and identify the full extent of required repairs

· Develop clear, accurate scopes of work across structural, architectural and services elements

· Liaise with insurers, strata managers, loss adjusters and body corporate representatives

Estimating & Pricing

· Prepare detailed estimates across a range of commercial and strata building works

· Break projects into trade packages and coordinate subcontractor pricing

· Review and validate subcontractor quotes against scope

· Manage variations and scope changes through the project lifecycle

Project & Stakeholder Coordination

· Work with Project Managers to align scope, sequencing and delivery

· Communicate clearly with internal teams, subcontractors and external stakeholders

· Support claim clarification and scope queries as required

About You

You know how buildings go together and how to price the work properly.

You'll have:

· Experience in insurance estimating or building repairs

· Solid understanding of construction methods and trade sequencing

· Ability to assess sites and build scopes independently

· Experience coordinating subcontractor pricing

· Good communication skills — you'll deal with strata managers, insurers and trades regularly

You're also:

· Comfortable managing a varied workload across multiple live claims

· Commercially aware and solutions-focused

· Able to work autonomously without losing the thread on the detail
