The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, fault finding, maintenance and commissioning of electronic instruments and control systems used in industrial and energy applications.
• Install, configure and commission electronic instrumentation and process control systems
• Calibrate and test measuring and indicating instruments for pressure, temperature, flow and level
• Diagnose faults in electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems
• Repair or replace defective components including transmitters, sensors, controllers and PLC related equipment
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications
• Ensure systems operate in accordance with performance and safety standards
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate technical documentation
• Liaise with engineers and project managers regarding system performance and upgrades
• Relevant trade qualification equivalent to Certificate III or higher in Instrumentation and Control, Electrical Instrumentation or related field
• At least 12 months full time relevant post qualification work experience
• Demonstrated experience working with industrial electronic instruments and control systems
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, electronic circuits and automated control systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards
• Strong analytical and fault finding capability
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a technical team
• Good communication and reporting skills
