As a result of continuous national growth, LAI Group is seeking an Electrical Fitter to join our team at our head office/manufacturing plant in Epping within our Switchboard department. We would like team members who are excited about the opportunity to build a stable, rewarding, and lucrative career with us.
Schedule
Full-time / Casual
A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime).
Wage (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration)
The Position
Assembling, installing, wiring, testing, and maintaining electrical switchboards and control panels used in homes, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Reading electrical drawings
Wiring and connecting electrical circuits
Testing switchboards for safety and correct operation
Troubleshooting faults and replacing damaged components
Ensuring work complies with electrical standards and safety regulations
The Candidate
Electrical Trade Qualifications
Current CPR and LV Rescue certificate
The ability to work well within a team-based environment
Knowledge of electrical standards
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Commitment to safe work practices
Desired Competencies
Good attention to detail
Problem solving skills
Experience with using general hand tools
