Ambrose® is a not-for-profit social enterprise providing Early Years Learning and School Age Care services. With a team of 550 employees and growing, we currently operate over 50 school age care and early years education services across Catholic schools in the Greater Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains region.

Working in our Early Education & Care team you will be able to inspire and empower students through engaging lessons and personalised support. Make a difference in young lives by fostering a love for learning and cultivating essential skills for success.  This is a 12 month maternity leave cover role.

Responsibilities:

• Developing strong relationships with children at the service
• Developing strong relationships that support and partner with families and the community
• Implementing the policies and associated procedures of the organisation at all times
• Working with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of the service’s operations

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services
• Valid Child Safety Training Certification
• Current Working with Children Check
• First Aid/CPR/Anaphylaxis Certification

Experience

• A minimum of 6 months’ experience in an approved early years education and care service is desirable
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum, supporting curriculum development and documenting children’s learning and development.
• Experience in planning and programming for individual children and groups using emergent curriculum
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards
• Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
• Knowledge and understanding of the Early Childhood Australia Code of ethics to apply these to personal practices and goals.
• Understanding and knowledge of child and brain development theory
• Understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010
• Understanding of the Education and Care Services Regulations 2011
