We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic, and experienced Assistant Centre Manager (2IC) & Educational Leader to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated early childhood professional who is passionate about mentoring educators, driving educational excellence, and supporting the Centre Manager in the day-to-day leadership of the service.

About the Role

As a key leader within our centre, you will play a vital role in shaping our educational program, inspiring best practice, supporting educator development, and fostering a positive and collaborative team culture. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging or experienced leader who is passionate about quality early childhood education and enjoys mentoring others, building strong relationships, and contributing to a positive centre culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Manager with the day-to-day operations and overall success of the service.

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the educational program in line with the EYLF.

• Mentor, coach, and inspire educators to reflect on and strengthen their teaching practices.

• Guide curriculum planning, critical reflection, and documentation across all age groups.

• Support compliance with the National Quality Framework, including the NQS and relevant regulations.

• Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and the wider community.

• Assist with enrolments, occupancy, and centre performance goals.

• Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional team culture.

• Support continuous quality improvement and contribute to the centre's vision and goals.

About You

You are an experienced early childhood professional who is passionate about both leadership and pedagogy. You enjoy supporting and developing others and are committed to achieving high-quality outcomes for children, families, and educators.

You will have:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher qualification).

• Current Working With Children Check.

• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in an early childhood setting.

• Previous experience as an Educational Leader or a strong desire to step into the role.

• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and National Regulations.

• Excellent communication, mentoring, and organisational skills.

• Experience using OWNA (desirable but not essential).
