As an ECT, you will lead the educational program for children aged 0-5 years, support their developmental milestones, and build strong relationships with children, families, and the wider community.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Observe, assess, and document children’s learning and development
- Establish and maintain positive and respectful relationships with children and their families
- Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children in your care
- Collaborate effectively with other educators and team members
- Support the centre’s compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and regulatory requirements
- Actively participate in professional development and reflective practices
Requirements
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma certifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of EYLF and NQS
- Experience in a similar role is desirable but new graduates are welcome to apply
