ABOUT THE ROLE 

Diesel Fitter experts – as a local employed by Goodline, you will play a key role as your trade is in high demand in this region. You will have the opportunity to work both on Goodline and Rio Tinto sites, boosting your experience and repertoire.

You will perform residential, commercial and industrial scopes of work.

Ideally you will have several years of experience in similar environments.

This is a permanent relocation opportunity offering stability, variety, and the chance to grow your trade while living somewhere most people only get to visit on holidays.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, you’ll have a few years of experience in similar heavy industrial, mining, or construction environments.

You will also have the following qualifications, licenses, tickets and training:

• Trade Certificate

• Construction Card

• QLD Coal Board Medical or Respiratory Health Surveillance (MMQ) Medical (Advantageous)

• G1 Apply Risk Management Certificate (Advantageous)

• HR or MC Licence (Advantageous)

• Rio Tinto Aluminium Weipa (RTAW) Inductions (Advantageous)

• Willing to undergo pre-employment checks and Medicals

• Willing to undertake relevant site access required training

• Ready to pack up and relocate to a new adventure

If you are an individual who is

• Collaborative with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards

• Maintains a strong understanding of safety procedures and practices within mining /domestic environments

• Can work autonomously as well as part of a crew

• Excellent at problem-solving and has excellent attention to detail

Our Weipa operation supports a permanent residential workforce of 100+ people, complemented by a FIFO contingent during shutdown periods. We deliver multi-disciplinary services across mechanical, civil, electrical and plumbing trades, supported by engineering, HSE, fleet and administrative teams. 

We work predominantly with Rio Tinto, while also supporting local industry and community through construction and maintenance services. The operation is backed by our corporate office on the Sunshine Coast.
