New England Veterinary Services Pty Ltd, located in Armidale, NSW is seeking a superstar
veterinary nurse to join our team on a full-time basis!
Our ideal candidate would have a Certificate 4 Nursing Qualification or above, and a
minimum of 12 months of experience. Ideally candidates would have extra qualifications in
anaesthesia and emergency medicine.
Responsibilities would include (but are not limited to):
● General nursing of hospital patients during business hours
● Monitoring anaesthetised patients during business hours for routine and complicated
surgeries, including thoracic surgeries and compromised patients.
● Consult nursing/Vet Liason duties during consultations and the ability to discuss estimates
and procedures to clients during consultations
● The ability to discuss post-operative care instructions and perform ongoing rechecks with
clients to a high standard
● The ability to triage and perform admission consultations, as well as general reception
duties on occasion to a high standard
● Being the sole on call/triage nurse during the week for afterhours consultations and on a
rotating weekend basis alongside a veterinarian
● Responsible for all hospital patient care out of hours during the week and on a rotating
weekend basis alongside a veterinarian
● General cleaning duties of the clinic involving equipment cleaning and maintenance, and
clinic cleaning.
● A willingness to learn or engage in stress-free handling is essential to this position, as is the ability to integrate into a team.

Remuneration is $77000 per year as a salary package.
