Systems Engineer

Our Engineering Services team at Eagle Farm, Brisbane is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join their team.
The primary objective of this role is to maximise plant availability and productivity by ensuring that Production Systems are programmed and operated reliably and safely. These systems are critical to G James’ manufacturing facilities and support our 24-hour operations.

The Role

• Designing, programming, simulating, and testing control software for both production and support equipment.
• Playing a key role in maintaining the performance and reliability of essential systems across the business.
• Designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure.
• Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing security and resilience.
• Optimising virtualization platforms such as VMware, OLVM, and Hyper-V for scalability and efficiency.
• Collaborating on application integration, infrastructure projects, and providing mentoring within the team.

The Person

• 5+ years as a Systems Engineer with expertise in Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, AD, Azure).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, OLVM), networking, SQL, and IT/OT in manufacturing.
• Skilled in device management (Intune, Autopilot, Defender), Microsoft apps (O365, Teams, SharePoint), and ITIL practices.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, MCSE) and a degree in IT or related field preferred.
• Autonomous, team-oriented, adaptable under pressure, and proactive in managing tasks.
