Staff Specialist (Anaesthesia)

Department of Anaesthesia are looking for Several Permanent Full time and Part time (40 hours per fortnight) and Temporary Full time and Part time (40 hours per fortnight) for up to 12 months to join their team. This role provides specialist Anaesthesia clinical care to patients and assumes overall responsibility for patient care. About The Role This position fulfils accountabilities and responsibilities in accordance with Metro South's purpose and objectives.Provision of the highest standards of clinical anaesthesia and peri-operative patient careEnsuring patient safety by understanding and appropriately managing clinical riskThis role will involve the provision of anaesthesia related services as determined by the needs of Princess Alexandra Hospital. This may involve services in, but is not limited to:Main Operating theatres including Cardiac theatresPre-Admission ClinicAcute Pain ServiceEndoscopy suiteCardiac Catheter laboratoriesRadiology DepartmentDay Surgery Procedure UnitInvolvement in the provision of on-call servicesAppropriate documentation of care using the electronic medical record keeping systemContribute to processes to improve the continuity of clinical care, coordination of services, clinical handover, and discharge planning during and after hospitalisation Find out about the role in more detail and how to apply in the attached Role Description.
