About the engagement:
Green Light is partnering up with a leading company to engage System Verification and Validation Engineer to provide advanced systems engineering support across the requirements, integration, verification, and validation lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering principles, requirements management, and DOORS tool proficiency. This role plays a key part in supporting design, certification, and integration of complex systems within a large-scale defence or engineering program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, deliver, and maintain Functional Baseline (FBL), Allocated Baseline (ABL), and Interface Requirements Specifications (IRS) using DOORS.
- Build and maintain end-to-end requirements traceability across specifications to establish a comprehensive DOORS database.
- Conduct system design and trade studies to ensure architectural compatibility across all subsystems and alignment with performance requirements.
- Support and manage the DOORS database in line with the Requirements Management Plan, and update the plan as needed.
- Conduct Verification & Validation activities, including:
- Developing and executing test procedures
- Writing inspection or analysis reports
- Witnessing or conducting test and demonstration events
- Create and update Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) for FBL, ABL, and IRS in DOORS.
- Prepare and submit Requests for Problem Resolution (RPRs) to initiate Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Develop and implement ECPs for delivery of pre-engineered change packages to platform System Program Offices (SPOs).
- Participate in engineering working groups to coordinate the design and integration of shipboard infrastructure.
- Assist in compiling Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) to support system certification.
- Engage in certification working groups with CoA, Navy, industry, and certification stakeholders.
- Contribute to system reviews by preparing documentation, conducting document reviews, and delivering presentations.
- Create and maintain system-level architecture design documents, including use of Digital Engineering tools and techniques.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure mission engineering requirements are integrated into system architecture.
- Present system architecture to internal and external stakeholders to support program alignment and direction.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in systems engineering, with a focus on V&V.

Proficiency with DOORS® for requirements and traceability management.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, architecture, and lifecycle practices.
- Experience in developing VCRM, requirements documentation, and managing certification evidence.
- Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, including stakeholders from defence, industry, and regulatory bodies.
- Practical knowledge of modern Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches is desirable.
