Senior Financial Accountant - Private Property Group | Sydney CBD

An exciting opportunity to join a private property investment and development group based in Sydney’s CBD. This is a key role for a Senior Financial Accountant who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys variety in their day.

We’re looking for someone who’s come from a small to mid-sized business, where wearing multiple hats is the norm. You’ll be comfortable jumping between fund accounting, compliance, financial reporting, and everything in between — because you’ve done it before, and you love the challenge.

What You’ll Bring:

• CPA or CA qualification, with a degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years' experience in a small or mid-sized business, ideally in property or real estate
• A hands-on approach and a love for variety – you’re just as comfortable in the detail as you are stepping back to see the bigger picture
• Proven experience across key areas including:
  
  • Fund Accounting & Compliance
  • Financial & Management Reporting
  • Budgeting & Variance Analysis
  • Month-End Close & Taxation
  • Legal Entity Structures & Debt Compliance
  • Payroll, AP Approvals, and Treasury
  • Lender KYC and Compliance Reporting
  • System Implementation or upgrades
• Strong understanding of AASB, GST, and income tax legislation
• High level of Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, modelling); SAP experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a natural collaborator
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and confidently across multiple areas
