Senior Estimator

Job Title: Senior EstimatorLocation: Adelaide, South AustraliaJob Type: Full-TimeJob Summary: My client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our team in Adelaide. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all bids are submitted on time and in compliance with company standards.Key Responsibilities:Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals to clients and management.Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.Maintain and update a database of historical cost data for use in future estimates.Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to management on budget status.Assist in the development and implementation of estimating best practices and procedures.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on large-scale projects.Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
