Senior Data Analyst

6 Month Initial Contract | Remote working | Baseline security clearance required THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to lead and manage various data projects, including the development of Power BI reports for this federal government agency. In this role you will work closely with our experienced and collaborative team to extract, analyse and visualise complex data sets to support the administration of grants and enhancing decision-making processes. Key duties and responsibilitiesLiaising with stakeholders to understand and document their data needs and translate these requirements into reporting products.Leading the development of advanced Excel and Power BI reporting products to support program managers and to provide insights to stakeholders and the executive.Managing ad-hoc data and reporting requests across diverse subject matters and datasets.Developing, implementing and maintaining SQL queries and scripts for efficient data extraction and transformation.Maintaining DAX, PowerQuery M, data models and visuals within Power BI dashboardsEnsuring data quality, integrity and security in all data-related processes in accordance with departmental and Australian Government policies. Required skills and experienceHigh proficiency in SQL, DAX and PowerQuery M and experience with relational SQL databasesExpertise in using Power BI for data visualisation and reportingExperience with other data analysis tools and software (e.g., Python, R)Familiarity with statistical analysis and predictive modellingHighly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex information succinctly to non-technical audiencesStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracyDevelop and maintain productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders Please note that you must be an Australian citizen with a current baseline security clearance to be considered for this opportunity.
