Retail Manager

Manomay Foods Pty Ltd t/as Amalfi Pizza & Pasta is currently on the lookout for an experienced Retail Manager to join and lead our team within our store at Aspendale Gardens, VIC. We are seeking energetic, proactive, reliable, self-driven hands-on Retail Manager who's ready to hit the ground running and lead our team to great success. If you are experienced in a food retail environment and have passion for food with these qualities, then you'll be the right person we are looking for!

Task & responsibilities

• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff performance to build a skilled and motivated retail team.
• Determined and maintained optimal product mix and stock levels to ensure availability of high-demand products while minimizing overstock and wastage.
• Designed and executed effective marketing and promotional strategies to increase foot traffic and maximize sales revenue.
• Set competitive pricing structures based on market analysis, cost considerations, and customer demand to optimize profitability.
• Formulated and implemented comprehensive purchasing policies and coordinated with suppliers to secure quality merchandise at competitive prices. 
• Advised customers on product usage, features, and benefits, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business
• Developed and enforced occupational health and safety policies to ensure a safe working and shopping environment for staff and customers.
• Monitor and maintain detailed records of stock levels, sales transactions, and financial data to support accurate reporting and forecasting. 
• Prepare and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and control costs to achieve financial targets and improve store profitability. 
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. 
• Compliance to workplace, Health and safety management policies. 

Qualification & experience

What we’re looking for : 

• Proven experience in a similar setting at managerial level is required. 
• Proven ability to organize, mentor and provide leadership to staff 
• Demonstrate a strong customer focus - possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to deal and work with a diverse range of customers. 
• Be highly organised and able to prioritise workloads to effectively meet deadlines 
• High computer literacy in EFTPOS and register / POS systems
