Auscare Group is seeking Registered Nurse to join our fantastic team.

About the Role

The potential candidate will be responsible for delivering of a high standard of care to residents on a regular basis.

Duties:

  • Assess and monitor patients’ health, including vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatments, while administering medications, IVs, and wound care as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with doctors and healthcare teams to develop and adjust care plans, ensuring proper diagnosis, treatment, and recovery for patients.
  • Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, post-discharge care, and preventive health practices.
  • Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR) while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Perform and assist in medical procedures, such as inserting catheters, drawing blood, operating medical equipment, and supporting surgeries.
  • Advocate for patient safety and comfort, addressing concerns, managing pain, and adhering to hospital protocols and infection control standards.
  • Supervise and guide nursing assistants (CNAs/LPNs), delegate tasks, and ensure efficient, compassionate care across shifts.

Selection Criteria

  • 6 months minimum experience within the Health sector
  • Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA
  • Current National Police clearance certificate
  • Understanding of Medication Management principles and implementation a must
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • An understanding of Aged Care Accreditation Standards (beneficial)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent time management skills essential
  • A commitment to providing individualized services one person at a time
  • A genuine passion for caring and supporting vulnerable people achieve meaningful outcomes
