We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cabinet Maker / Joiner to join our team and work on high-end residential and commercial projects.

Position overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker / Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional craftsmanship and a strong commitment to quality, bringing expertise in both residential and commercial projects. As a vital team player, you will collaborate with designers, contractors, and clients to deliver outstanding results. This is a full-time 3 month fixed term contract with an opportunity to go permanent. Hours of work will be Monday – Thursday 6am – 2.30pm and Friday 6am – 12pm. Available for immediate start.

Key responsibilities include:

• Custom Fabrication - Construct, assemble and install cabinets, furniture, and other woodwork according to specifications and designs.

• Attention to Detail - Ensure precision in measurements, cuts, and finishes, maintaining high standards of craftsmanship throughout the project.

• Material Selection - Advise on the selection of materials and finishes to achieve desired aesthetics and functionality.

• Collaboration - Work closely with team members and other trades to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to timelines.

• Problem Solving - Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the construction process, ensuring client satisfaction and project integrity.

• Quality Control - Conduct thorough inspections of work, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.

• Maintenance & Repair - Perform maintenance and repair work on existing cabinetry and furniture as needed.

• Safety - Strong commitment to workplace safety.

• Follow company policies and procedures while contributing to the continuous improvement of processes.

Qualifications and Licences

• Certificate III in Cabinet Making.

• Unrestricted driver licence.

• White card (general construction induction).

• Forklift licence.

 Abilities & Skill

• 3+ years’ experience as a Cabinet Maker / Joiner with a portfolio showcasing high-quality work.

• 3+ years fabrication, laminating and machinery operation in a factory environment.

• Residential cabinetry / joinery experience (highly regarded).

• Experience with CNC machinery.

• Proficient in using woodworking tools and machinery, including saws, routers, and sanders.

• On-site installation experience (preferred but not essential).

• Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, various materials, and finishes.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering superior craftsmanship.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
