Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Public Relations Professional / Account manager to join our Sydney team. This role involves developing and implementing strategic communication campaigns and public relations initiatives that promote our clients’ visibility, reputation, and market presence.
The successful candidate will contribute to integrated communication plans, manage client relationships, maintain strong media and influencer networks, and oversee delivery of campaigns that generate measurable results.

Task & responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate public relations and communication strategies aligned with client objectives
- Advise clients on the public relations implications of their programs, campaigns, and brand positioning
- Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, pitches, Q&As, and other media content
- Work with team leads to develop comprehensive, strategic and integrated communications programs that complement the client’s business objectives and deliver results
- Copywriting and content writing including media releases and pitches to generate positive coverage for clients
- Organise and attend special events, product launches, briefings, and promotional functions
- Undertake and interpret public opinion research to inform campaign design and delivery
- Develop, pitch and place positive stories in appropriate business, trade, consumer, and digital media
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts, journalists, influencers, bloggers, and creators
- Coordinate and oversee influencer campaigns and measure return on investment (ROI)
- Provide input into social media strategies and online reputation management
- Mentor and supervise junior staff on implementation tasks and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Liaise with content creators, photographers, and designers to develop campaign materials
- Prepare client-facing reporting, including coverage tracking and monthly media activity reports
Qualification & experience
Essential Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Media or related field with 1 year of closely related experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public relations or communications roles will substitute for formal qualification.
- Proven experience working across multiple client accounts in a fast-paced agency or media environment
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute PR campaigns that drive measurable media coverage and audience engagement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling media content
- Well-developed understanding of traditional and digital media, including emerging platforms
- Experience working with multinational clients in consumer and/or corporate sectors
- Ability to build trusted relationships with media and influencers
- Strong project management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
