Project Manager

Our client is a NSW Government Agency currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and successful delivery of key Whole-of-Government (WofG) technology projects.

This is a dynamic and high-impact role working across multiple strategic sites, requiring a strong understanding of ICT project delivery and BAU transition processes.

This role is focused purely on project delivery—while a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and engineering principles is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of ICT projects including planning, coordination, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and transition to BAU.
• Oversee the delivery of ICT infrastructure across multiple sites working in close collaboration with the Senior Manager of Technology.
• Manage a key project that focuses on a smooth transition to BAU and effective defect rectification in partnership with network and AV contractors.
• Manage a critical site network cutover with a focus on minimal disruption and operational continuity.
• Ensure project governance and reporting are aligned with government standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering ICT projects in complex environment within a large government agency.
• Availability to work onsite 3–5 days per week across Parramatta and Sydney CBD offices.
• Strong understanding of IT engineering concepts (Infrastructure and Network) with the ability to liaise effectively with technical teams and contractors.
• Excellent skills in managing transitions from project delivery into BAU operations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Highly organised, outcomes-focused, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
