About the opportunity:

Position: Pharmacist Advanced (Cancer Care Services)

Vacancy: Temporary Full-time commencing ASAP up to 01/06/2025 with a possible extension up to 12 months

Location: Pharmacy Department / Medical Service Group / Townsville University Hospital

  • Salary range: $5557.50 to $5798.90 p.f. (HP5)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications/ professional registration/ other requirements

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from a recognised tertiary institution (or equivalent).
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A health-related post-graduate qualification and/or completion of the SHPA residency program is desirable.
  • Highly desirable: An advanced level of knowledge, expertise and skills in contemporary, evidence-based hospital pharmacy services and an ability to apply this knowledge.
  • Highly desirable: An ability to lead and operationally manage a dynamic team, including application of human resource management practices.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
