The Role
This role will be based at Camperdown Powder. Reporting to the Engineering & Projects Manager, this role is required to provide technical and trouble-shooting support to Production to enable smooth and efficient operation.
Whilst this is primarily an afternoon shift role, you will be required to work flexibly to enable the site to operate continuously. There may be a requirement to work late, early or on weekends to coordinate activities around production priorities.
Core Responsibilities
• Working with the production team to ensure that production lines are running at maximum efficiency;
• Developing and implementing maintenance plans to ensure plant and equipment are in optimum condition to achieve the operational requirements;
• Using fault-finding and root-cause analysis methodologies to accurately and efficiently identify the cause of mechanical issues or failures
• Carrying out troubleshooting activities in response to issues that slow or disrupt production
• Identifying processes that can be improved in line with the Continuous Improvement strategy, including contributing to capex projects;
• Supervising contractor activities on site. This includes inductions and job management (quality, safety, cost)
• Engaging with maintenance service providers and trades as needed to ensure effective support and collaboration where necessary
• Ensuring the availability of critical spares, tools, parts and other related resources, materials and services required to minimise downtime and disruption to production
• Execute periodic maintenance tasks and routine calibration of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

To be successful in this role you will have
· Possess a trades maintenance qualification.
· Minimum 1yrs experience within a food manufacturing environment and sound knowledge of GMP.
· Knowledge of dry powder manufacturing, equipment and processes is preferred
· Understanding of technology and plant automation.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages at an intermediate level.
· Proven ability to identify and manage safety hazards.
