Internal Audit Consultant

Digival Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Internal Audit Consultant to join our team and contribute to delivering impactful Finance Transformation projects. Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year

Task & responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Finance Transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Examine and verify current state reports on financial, operational and managerial processes, systems and outcomes to integrity and compliance.
• Manage process reviews - study the current processes, identify gaps and recommend ways to improve processes.
• Process and financial risk assessment.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for performance improvement.
• Support clients in implementing robust financial reporting frameworks aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Provide insights and recommendations on cost management, profitability analysis, and resource allocation to drive sustainable growth.
• Assist in the integration of digital tools and technologies to streamline accounting and finance processes.
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify and resolve financial management challenges, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Contribute to the development of strategic roadmaps for finance functions, encompassing process optimisation and capability enhancement.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and guidelines.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering expert guidance on accounting policies, governance, and risk management.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to build financial acumen within client organisations.
• Support project management activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring of Finance Transformation engagements.

Qualification & experience

• Demonstrates a strong background in internal audit and management accounting, with a proven track record of delivering financial insights that drive business performance.
• Experienced in providing services relating to performance-based financial reporting, asset valuation, budgetary systems, cost management, pricing, forecasting and the strategic governance of organisations.
• Has rich experience in process and system reviews.
• Possesses experience in Finance Transformation projects, including process optimisation, system implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Has expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, coupled with a deep understanding of accounting standards and compliance requirements.
• Has expertise in commercial accounting and management; experience of product accounting is a plus.
• Brings excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable strategies.
• Shows proficiency in leveraging digital tools and technologies to enhance finance operations and improve decision-making processes.
• Exhibits outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust and fostering relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Holds relevant qualifications such as CPA, CA, or equivalent, with additional certifications in project management and SAP Finance module being a plus.
• Has 2-3 years of relevant work experience and has working rights in Australia.
