As an Injury Management Advisor, you will be joining Ozcare's Corporate Health and Safety team. You will be working in a largely autonomous role, utilising all your skills and experience, while benefiting from working in a Corporate Office which offers a variety of educational options, internal resources and support networks.

Your Role
Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the workplace rehabilitation of injured employees, including workers compensation, case management and facilitating return to work functions. Your tasks will include:

  • Provide injury and return to work case management to injured employees throughout Ozcare
  • Plan, negotiate and facilitate rehabilitation and return to work plans to optimise the interested of injured employees of Ozcare
  • Provide high quality advice, support and training to managers and employees on rehabilitation processes and return to work matters
  • Participate in the relationship management with Insurer, including monitoring claims liability, case management strategies and premium impacts
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of injury management practices and rehabilitation programs for Ozcare.
  • Contribute to reports and briefing of Ozcare's leadership team

Role Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, Workplace Rehabilitation, or Allied Health (or studying towards) is desirable
  • Demonstrated claims management experience and extensive knowledge of the Queensland Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills to ensure ability to use a range of applications including claims management systems
  • Current Police Screening Certification
  • Be vaccinated against Influenza & at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine
