The Role:

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled ICT Customer Support Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be crucial in providing exceptional support, education, and guidance to our clients. You will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of our technology solutions and diagnosing and resolving a wide range of technical issues across our entire product and service portfolio.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective responses to client inquiries regarding hardware and software problems, acting as a key point of contact for our client support.
  • Install, configure, and download necessary software and firmware for client equipment, including our range of HP printers (A3, A4, and Wide Format), servers, IP Telephony, and networking gear.
  • Educate and guide clients to ensure the efficient and effective use of their office applications and equipment.
  • Conduct on-site repairs and replacements of peripheral equipment, with a focus on our managed range of printers, copiers, IP Telephony equipment, and modems.
  • Implement and support computer networks and data cabling solutions for our clients, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance.
  • Assess client hardware and software requirements to propose and implement effective, tailored technology solutions, including the setup of Commercial Displays and VoIP systems.
  • Customise and adapt existing programs and software settings to meet the specific requirements of our users.
  • Manage and maintain our Cost Per Copy (CPC) maintenance agreements, which include providing onsite service, and supplying toners and drums.
  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of internal and client-facing web-based systems and technologies that support our products and services.

Qualification & experience

Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar/relevant field.

At least one year of full-time work experience (or part-time equivalent) in a similar position. 

Strong ICT Support skills and a knowledge of a breadth of ICT systems are a must. 

Customer Support and client interaction experience are a must.
