We are seeking a skilled Hydrocarbons Technician - Mechanical to join our experienced team of technicians, based at our Port Hedland branch. Ideally living in Port Hedland, you must possess a strong customer and safety focus, be committed to consistently delivering high quality work and a desire to be part of a high performing team. Based on 50hrs per week, some travel will be required within the Pilbara area.

This is an exciting time to join Fuelfix as we continue to build our hydrocarbons business whilst supporting organisations in new equipment and technologies as they transition to a cleaner energy future.

The Position:

  • Assembly, installation and commissioning of new and modified engineered fuel storage and dispensing systems to client specifications, contract provisions and regulations 
  • Organise, perform and supervise testing, inspection and auditing of fuel facilities and plant to check compliance and identify remedial 
  • Perform and supervise maintenance and repair of existing underground and above ground fuel systems and plant including tanks, pumps, dispensers, pipelines, instruments, fuel trailers and associated equipment
  • Work alongside engineering support services to ensure delivery of client focused solutions works based on accurate data
  • Preparation, planning, maintenance, and management of Fuelfix’s extensive hire fleet equipment and tools 
  • Bulk product handling and other operational tasks at customer bulk storage facilities

Skills and Experience:

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade essential
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills with close attention to detail
  • Petroleum and service-based industry experience in retail, mining, and commercial environments highly desirable
  • MR class drivers licence desirable
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work without supervision
  • High standards in relation to quality of work and safety
