Full Time Renderer (Solid Plaster) – Newport VIC

BDA Homes Pty Ltd in Newport VIC, is seeking a full time Renderer (Solid Plaster) Professional. The successful candidate must have an experience in delivering high-quality rendering services across various surfaces, including brick, Hebel, foam, and polystyrene.

Salary of $80,000 to $90,000 + super for this full time position.

Task & responsibilities

You will undergo the following responsibilities and tasks.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Plan the layout of plasterboard sheets and ensure insulation and vapour barriers are properly fitted.
• Take accurate measurements, cut panels to size, and position them securely on walls, ceilings, and framing.
• Install decorative features such as cornices, mouldings, ceiling centres, and other plaster elements.
• Prepare surfaces by sealing joints and fixing nail holes, then smooth out finishes with plaster, brushes, and sandpaper.
• Mix plaster, cement, and rendering materials, applying them evenly with trowels and levelling to a consistent thickness.
• Check surfaces, corners, and angles to make sure they are square, plumb, and even.
• Apply textured finishes and decorative coatings to enhance final appearance.
• Use plaster and similar compounds to add soundproofing, fireproofing, or thermal insulation where required.

Qualification & experience

Qualifications:

• AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV in Solid Plastering

Experience Requirement:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

• Render mixing and application
• Trowel work on brick, Hebel, and polystyrene
• Applying mesh and axis
• Floating on base and coloured renders
• Surface preparation and repairs
• Site safety and compliance
• Teamwork and supervision
• Time management and multitasking
