Task & responsibilities

• Menu planning, estimating food and labour costs.
• Preparing and cooking menu items.
• Training and supervision of apprentices and less experienced staff.
• Adhering to, explaining and enforcing of hygiene regulations.
• Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
• Delegation of tasks to other team members.
• Supervise Cooks and assist as needed.
• Monitor food stock and place orders.

Qualification & experience

• Qualifications in Commercial Cookery (Cert IV or higher)
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Chef in a café or restaurant environment
