Financial Accountant - Global business

Our client

A high growth global business, circa $400mill, that are operating in an extremely lucrative space. They will continue to grow over the next few years - a less common occurence in this current market - and as such there will be excellent learning opportunities to come. This role is newly created.

They are seeking a strong Financial Accountant to take ownership of the month end and year end close, and support and excellent Finance Manager.

Closely knit team with excellent culture, very family oriented feel with good WL balance.

CBD location with 2 days WFH.

The role
This role is a key role, that will take ownership of end of month and year end reporting, while being highly visible and be involved in complex fixed asset management, and compliance. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager you will be responsible for the below duties:

• Full responsibility of month end and year end eporting
• Analysis & interpretation of company performance and in depth analysis of clinical performance
• Establish, implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Preparation of financial statements 
• Maintain fixed asset register 
• Being a key member with regards to annual audit and half yearly audit review
• Compliance requirements of superannuation, GST, PAYG, payroll tax, ABS etc
• Consolidating monthly results with commentary / analyses of balance sheet movements and income statement variances against budget / forecast

About you 

• CA/CPA qualified or near completion
• In a commercial role with strong month end close experience and ideally preparation of financial statements 
• Experience with a large ERP, ideally
• Outstanding communicator with a passion for driving change in a scaling environment
