About the Opportunity

As Events Coordinator, you'll partner with key stakeholders to plan and promote strategic events that celebrate Wellways as a leading provider of carer, mental health and wellbeing services.

The events you plan and schedule will align with clear targets in the marketing plan and consistently reflect our strategic goals, key messages and brand identity.

Your key accountabilities include the end-to-end planning of events, from pre-production to post-production and reporting. Simultaneously, while co-developing a consistent communications plan with the wider Communications team, the individuality of local audiences always needs to be at the forefront of all planning efforts.

In addition to organising events that follow an established pattern, irregular events such as corporate sponsorships at conferences and expos, service launches, major community events or ministerial visits must also be supported and communicated with a wide range of team members.

In this newly created role, you will become an integral National Marketing and Communications Team member and receive expert advice and support from all required subject matter experts across Wellways. Excellent organisational, networking and communications skills are essential. Creativity, flexibility, and a can-do attitude are also beneficial for enjoying this role and making Wellways events a stand-out success.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Implement the rollout of the planned event series of the Wellways and Carer Gateway marketing plan
  • Create event briefs and work with the internal design and communications teams to ensure efficient development and delivery of event assets.
  • Provide advice on event best practices to internal stakeholders
  • Helped identify, plan, and implement opportunities to promote Wellways at regional and state-based conferences, expos, and events.
  • Be flexible to respond to short-notice event requests as part of our advocacy and PR activities

You will also need:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in event or project management, marketing, communications or relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar or project management role
  • Available for frequent travel to New South Wales and Queensland
  • Availability to participate in some out-of-hours work activities as required
  • Undertake or be willing to undertake verification of key qualifications and accreditations, working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check, National Police Records Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • Evidence of the right to work unrestricted in Australia
